Leadership is more than simply being a positive, supportive teammate.  It is about leading by example by always doing the right thing.  JHL athletes own the decisions they make. They demonstrate hard work, grit, and focus to their teammates so that they have their respect when they hit the ice.  Players learn to lead by example and to motivate others by their actions.

Effective teamwork can be the difference between life and death in the jungle.  Players who work together and support each other outperform those who don't play as a team.  The JHL strives to teach the values of communication, reliability and tenacity.
